LERT TRAINING ~ SATURDAY, JANUARY 10, 2015 ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, CLARINDA, IOWA ~ 9 AM - 12 PM
If you are eager to help in times of natural disaster, or are a pastor who needs to be prepared and have certification to be on site if your members are affected – we need you! Iowa District West has immediate need for LERT-certified volunteers to respond after natural disasters by giving spiritual comfort and emotional support while providing food, water, clean up, debris removal and helping with basic repairs. This is an opportunity to exercise your Christian faith and use your God-given gifts and talents to help others in need.
It’s easy to become a trained Lutheran Early Response Team volunteer! Take this opportunity to join members throughout IDW in this unique Christ-centered mission. Attend the disaster orientation training event to become FEMA certified through LCMS World Relief and Human Care.
